Country music icon Garth Brooks has released the first single from his much-anticipated new studio album. The track “Baby, Let’s Lay Down and Dance” can be streamed above. Brooks will reveal the upcoming album’s title this Saturday, October 15 during the NCAA Football SEC Game of The Week. The record’s cover art will be revealed on Monday, October 17 during Garth’s weekly Inside Studio G podcast.
Brooks penned the track with Kent Blazy, Steve Dorff, Victoria Shaw and the late Kim Williams, who passed away in February. Garth is continuing his massive world tour with a run of shows at the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, VA beginning November 11. Back on September 9, Garth added another chapter to his storied career, playing the historic Ryman in Nashville, TN for the first time.
Garth Brooks is the #1-selling solo artist in U.S. history, and one of the greatest country music artists of all time. A true music icon, Garth has sold over 150 million records worldwide throughout his career. He’s been nominated for 12 Grammy Awards, winning two of them. He’s won 16 Billboard Music Awards, as well as the Billboard Music Artist Achievement Award in 1997. He’s also garnered 12 American Music Awards, nine CMA Awards, 22 ACM Awards, among many other honors. In 2012, Garth Brooks was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
