Last night at The Altman Building in New York City, a select group of fans gathered to experience an intimate evening provided by Pandora’s Women In Country – Martina McBride, Cassadee Pope, and RaeLynn. In honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the concert benefited The TJ Martell Foundation for breast cancer research. RaeLynn kicked off the evening, followed by Cassadee Pope and headliner (and country icon) Martina McBride. Pandora founder Tim Westergren introduced each artist, and before Martina graced the stage, he presented a generous $50,000 donation from Pandora to The TJ Martell Foundation.

“The scale of Pandora is the perfect way to amplify the power of women in country music in a year where some have questioned it,” says Pandora‘s Lars Murray. “Listeners and fans have spoken; these women have over 370 million spins on Pandora.”

Pandora has the unique ability to determine which artists will resonate best with local listeners by analyzing musical preferences, stations created, and thumbed-up songs. Invitations to events are then extended to Pandora listeners who have demonstrated an affinity for the identified artists.
